Amazon Logistics
When Amazon opened a major new distribution unit, they brought Surface Performance in to prove the floors were safe before the building went into full use — exactly the kind of new-build handover check we recommend.
Client
Amazon Logistics
Sector
Logistics & warehousing
Site
125,000 sq ft distribution unit, Southampton (2019)
The brief
Prove that pedestrian areas met HSE slip-resistance requirements as part of the operator’s risk-management obligations for a brand-new unit.
What we did
Pendulum slip testing and micro-roughness testing at ten randomly selected pedestrian walkways throughout the building, in line with HSE guidance.
Outcome
A full test report proving compliance with HSE requirements across the sampled walkways.
The same testing, for your site
Whatever you operate in Cambridgeshire, the method is the same: an independent, UKAS-accredited test and a report you can put on file.
Evidence, not opinion.
A fixed quote, a site visit and a UKAS-accredited report that stands as evidence.
